She was preceded in death by her parents and grand-parents and her older brother William A. She then worked several years with Nueces County Parks at the Robstown facility over seeing T-Ball and Little Miss Kickball and other activities including the founder of the Cottonfest held in October and was the inspiration behind the Robstown Nueces County Park and before retiring added the North Park. During her career she was an inspiration to many young girls and women as a Girl's PE teacher, girl's basketball coach, swimming and diving teacher/coach, high school tennis coach, and adult swimming at Del Mar College and more.
